Jason Horowitz, an associate at the Firm, concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use planning, municipal and environmental law, commercial and residential real estate transactions and related litigation matters.

Mr. Horowitz represents private landowners, real estate developers, religious institutions and private corporations and partnerships in all real estate related matters, including land use and planning applications before municipal boards.  Mr. Horowitz also represents municipalities as counsel to local planning and zoning boards within Nassau County.

Mr. Horowitz co-authored a series of case law updates entitled “Current Issues in Land Use and Zoning,The Nassau Lawyer, April 2009.  Additionally, Mr. Horowitz authored various articles in Report From Counsel, the Firm’s bi-annual newsletter, relating to matters such as the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act, statutory construction and non-conforming use law in New York State.

Mr. Horowitz was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2008. Mr. Horowitz is a member of the Nassau County and New York State Bar Associations.

Mr. Horowitz graduated with a B.A. from the University of Michigan, where he remains a member of the University Michigan Alumni Association.   He received his J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center (2007).
