Attorney Profiles

Brian S. Stolar is a Partner in the Firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use planning, real estate development, municipal law, and litigation. He represents private property owners and municipalities, and appears regularly before municipal boards in connection with land use applications.

Mr. Stolar is the Village Attorney for the Village of Sea Cliff, and has served as counsel to numerous other municipalities and planning and zoning boards on Long Island.  He has taught continuing legal education courses and published several articles on land use law, planning law and the law of eminent domain.  Mr. Stolar also has lectured on land use and municipal law topics for the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau County Planning Federation.

Mr. Stolar is a member of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.

Mr. Stolar is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

He received his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.S., 1990) and his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law (J.D., 1993), where he was a member and editor of the Annual Review of Banking Law.
